Room Refresh With Serena & Lily
If you have followed me for any portion of 2020, you will know that my home has been undergoing some updates and changes. Quarantine has only amplified my desire to update my home and my “isolation renovation” projects have continued all the way into my master bedroom. When summer rolled around, it felt like the right time to get some new bedding that was breathable and lightweight. I was time to ditch the heavy furs and blankets, and bring in the soft and airy bed linens. I turned to Serena & Lily for my bedding because I knew they would have the quality bedding I was looking for. After perusing their bedding selections, I settled on the Augustine Quilt and Shams in the color “Fog”. It seemed like the perfect neutral color for my base quilt. I love using a neutral quilt on my bed and then adding layers of pillows and extra blankets for that extra pop of color and texture.
I have have had this bedding on my bed for the past six weeks and I absolutely love it. It is incredibly soft and breathable, the color is lovely, and it washes beautifully. My quilts in the past always get that annoying pilling after I wash them. The Augustine quilt and shams do not pill, do not wrinkle, and they feel incredibly soft to the skin. I am an absolute bedding snob, and this bedding has reached all my expectations in terms of style and comfort.
In addition to the bedding, I felt like a new lighting fixture would really add some visual interest to the space. I found the PERFECT chandelier from Serena & Lily that was so “me”. If I could sum up my room in one word, it would be “eclectic”. I have a little farmhouse, a little glam, a little coastal, and a little bit of modern all mixed together. The Capiz Honeycomb Chandelier seemed like the perfect touch of coastal + glam for my bedroom. The chandelier is absolutely stunning in person. It is well made and has the prettiest shimmer from the capiz shells. I am in love!
